Beginner/Intermediate Hoop

Lyra or hoop is a fun circular apparatus that allows you to sit in it as you learn a new skill. This is a great way to build up that strength; don't feel intimidated! Do make sure your knees are covered and get ready to swing spin and look amazing.

Beginning Silks

Exciting athletic and empowering aerial dance is fantastic as both a physical activity and a creative movement outlet. There is no experience necessary for beginning aerial. Anna works with students close to the ground building strength awareness and confidence through conditioning and routine building. Anna creates progressions into the beginning session so students are both safe and comfortable as they explore these new vertical heights.

Beginning Sling

Aerial sling is kind of the gate-way apparatus to aerial dance. It is a low hanging hammock type set-up that is comfortable safe and doesn't require the same amount of strength or coordination that aerial fabric does. In this class we will explore connections to the floor traveling upwards and building up that core and arm strength needed for the other apparatuses.

Dance Trapeze

Explore the world of the horizontal apparatus with us in this fun new class! Don't think of the flying trapeze where you release the bar to be caught mid-air. Dance trapeze stays close to the ground and is rigged from a single point for spinning orbiting and swinging. With the metal bar for support it is a great beginner apparatus. The ropes offer a variety of transitions and beautiful poses. The trapeze becomes a dance partner as you learn to flip and fly.

Fitness for Flight

Fitness for Flight will focus on strengthening the muscles commonly used in aerial. We will perform a variety of conditioning exercises as well as movements to work on increasing strength and flexibility, in and off of the aerial apparatuses. This class is a wonderful introduction to aerial and a great way to help achieve your aerial goals!

Intermediate Silks

Building off of Level 1 skills Level 2 Aerial Silks focuses more on inversions strength building and creating longer sequences in the air. Requirements are as follows: proficient in Basic and Russian climbs ability to tie footlocks in the air and invert in the air.

Intermediate Sling

Once you discover how awesome aerial sling is work your way into Sling 2! Here students learn more complex moves and sequences. This class involves dynamic level changes from the floor to the ceiling as well as more inversions unassisted. But you will also learn the really cool things - like flips drops and swings! Pre-reqs include: hip-rollover invert from standing on the sling and ability to be in the air for 2 minutes.

Open Gym

Open gym allows you to use the equipment at your own pace to work on things from class. It is not for learning new things. Only current students who have taken at least 3 classes or private lessons are allowed to join open gym. Current students are defined as taking at least 1 class every 3 weeks. (please email us if you are unsure if you qualify). Equipment is limited so it is encouraged to register ahead and be courteous when you are in the gym.
